WMS Maker Spaces: Great Addition to Curricular & Extra-Curricular Progams
This year WMS was the fortunate recipient of some very generous donations from CLK Alumni and some matching funds from the CLK Foundation. Motivated to reach for more, WMS used the funds to create three Maker Spaces to allow students to apply their learning in all new ways. WMS courses and after school programs now have the ability to conceptualize, design, and fabricate anything they are learning about. The Maker Spaces consist of laser engravers, Cricut machines, 3-D printers, a large printer, and a laminator. With these resources at their disposal, in addition to the creativity of our middle school students and the unmatched knowledge base of the WMS staff, the opportunities are endless to grow everyday at WMS.
