A graduate of Michigan State University in 1935. A distinguished combat veteran of WWII. Began a successful career in broadcasting with WXYZ and WJR. He went on to be named Commissioner of the Federal Communications Commission, serving five Presidents for 26 years. Established the Quello Center for Telecommunications and Law at Michigan State University.
