General Ferdinand Chesarek

Four-star general with combat action in WWII and Korea
While in high school, Chesarek was a member of the Junior ROTC Program. He entered West Point and was a 1938 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy and was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Field Artillery. He saw combat action in WWII and Korea. He served as comptroller of the Army and assistant vice chief of staff. General Chesarek received his fourth start when he became commanding general of the U.S. Army Material Command.
