Robert Jewett

Rocket Scientist

Robert earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from Michigan Tech, and PhD. from the University of Wisconsin, all in metallurgical engineering. Jewett worked for the Rocketdyne Corporation for 32 years, and was involved with the Space Shuttle Main Engine Program for 23 of those years. He headed the team which developed the materials for the Saturn missions. No Saturn engine ever failed during nearly 40 years of the Shuttle Program. Jewett also served 30 years in the U.S. Army, rising to the rank of Colonel. Bob as also served in several charities, including scholarships for Native Americans, and church charities in war-torn Bosina.
