Picotte rose through the ranks from Seaman1C to Admiral. He earned his BA Degree from Northern Michigan University and MA’s from San Diego State and the Navy War College. His Commands included: Commandant-Surface Warfare School, San Diego; Commander-NATO Exercises Mediterranean and North Atlantic; and Captain of the USS WASP LHD1.
