Greetings and Welcome to the Public Schools of Calumet, Laurium & Keweenaw.
Thank you for taking time to visit the C-L-K Web site to learn more about one of the State's premier school districts. The Public Schools of Calumet, Laurium & Keweenaw was founded in 1867, and the success experienced by the district since then has truly been remarkable.
Here are just a few things I'd like you to know about C-L-K:
-
In 2012-13, the CLK Schools partnered with Gogebic Community College to offer an Early College Program for Calumet High School students. Currently there are 156 students in the program which consists of 105 junior and seniors (45% of student population) and 51 students who are in the 5th year of high school which is 53% of their graduating class. By taking a combination of high school classes and college courses, high school students will be able to graduate from CLK's Early College after five years with both a high school diploma and an Associate Degree. The college credits earned in the program, up to 63, may also be transferable towards an undergraduate degree from a four-year college or university. There will be NO tuition cost to the student or family for the courses taken in the Early College Program. Visit the Calumet High School website for more information on the Early College program.
